CETO trials
Wave Energy
CETO is the first wave power converter to sit on the seabed, where it is invisible, safe from storms and ocean forces, and self contained. Unlike other wave energy technologies that require undersea grids and costly marine qualified plant, CETO requires only a small diameter pipe to carry high pressure seawater ashore to either a turbine to produce electricity, or to a reverse osmosis filter to produce fresh water.
The CETO IP is held by Renewable Energy Holdings Plc (‘REH’), listed on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM Market. ASX-listed Carnegie Corporation Ltd is the technology developer and will own and operate CETO wave farms throughout the Southern Hemisphere. REH will JV with EDF EN on Northern Hemisphere wave farms.
Wind Energy
REH currently owns two windfarm sites in Germany, Kesfeld and Kirf.
Kesfeld and Kirf currently produce 40.5MW and another 6.9MW will be in production at Kesfeld during 2008, this will bring total production for Germany to 47.4MW.

Bryn Posteg Wales
History:
Since March 2003 electricity generation from landfill gas has been undertaken at Bryn Posteg Landfill Site, Llanidloes, Wales. Currently the methane extraction plant is capable of producing 2MW.
An Operations and Maintenance Agreement is in place with Finning Power Systems operating a Caterpillar generator-set.
Project Expansion:
The short term plan for this site is to optimise the current production by tapping into mature cells. Expansion of new wells due in 2009.
Long term goal is to tap into cells which are currently being filled, this has the potential to increase production to 5/6MW.
PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) in place with EDF Energy (UK).
