Global Nuclear Majors Eye Indian Nuke Business

The decision by the 45-nation Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) to lift the 34-year old embargo on nuclear trade with India has opened the door for nuclear power station makers to enter the Indian nuclear. Indian domestic nuclear specialists have reasons to cheer too.

Adopted by consensus after three days of roller-coaster negotiations at Vienna on Saturday 6th September, the NSG granted India an exemption from its export guidelines. US President George W. Bush and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh both welcomed the decision by the NSG.
