Basingstoke-based Voller is one of the world’s few going for a portable fuel cell that can be used as a battery charger or mobile generator. It already has patents for “fuel in a box”, and is seeking more. It is in discussions with a list of potential customers that includes the Ministry of Defence, and with John Brown, the retired chief executive of Speedy Hire as its chairman, also features the building equipment hirer.
